Soothing, warming and comforting. Benzoin essential oil has a lovely creamy, vanilla like fragrance that blends well with many other oils. A gently relaxing oil which eases tired muscles when used in massage.
General: Derived from a large tropical tree upto 20m high with green and white leaves. The resin is collected by insertions in the bark. The resinoid is a dark brown orange viscous liquid.

Our Benzoin type is also derived from Northern Thailand. Benzoin from Sumatra contains coniferyl cinnamate 55-70%. The Thai and Laos (Siam) derived Benzoin has a more refined odour.
